About Us

Caruso’s was founded in 1995 by husband and wife team, Giorgio and Lisa Caruso.  Our main goal has always been to serve authentic Italian food at reasonable prices.  Our customers are like family members to us, and as such, are always treated this way.

Giorgio, who is also the head chef, has been in the restaurant business for many years, having worked with his uncle in his family restaurant in Italy.  Upon relocating to the U.S., Giorgio worked for several years at the prestigious restaurant, La Veranda, located on Delaware Avenue in Philadelphia.   It was during this time that the idea of opening his own restaurant grew–and Caruso’s Ristorante came to be in October of 1995.

Since that time, we have hosted many special occasions, such as:


  – Baby Showers

– Christenings

– Anniversaries

– Rehearsal Dinners and more!!


Our menu is very diversified, including veal, chicken, pasta and seafood.  If I have to choose one area that we are known for, it would be our fresh seafood selection.  Everything is made to order and is cooked fresh to your specifications.  Giorgio is also responsible for baking our own homemade desserts, which are delectable!!  You must try our tiramisu (and our chocolate mousse cake, our strawberry shortcake)-JUST TO NAME A FEW!  Please bring your own wine or beer-we never charge a corkage fee, and come enjoy Italian food the way it is meant to be.
